Kenilworth Dairies has undergone a big transformation. Formerly Kenilworth Country Foods, the Kenilworth factory was sold in June this year. The factory has been manufacturing cheese for over 60 years. 6th generation dairy farmers, the Cochrane family, are now the owners of the historic cheese factory in the Mary Valley.
Kenilworth is a vibrant country town approximately 60 km west of Noosa Heads. It boasts a history of cheesemaking which dates back to the 1950s. The Cochrane milk will supply all the milk needed to make the huge array of cheese, yoghurt, mousse and ice cream produced daily at the factory. This milk comes from their three dairy farms situated nearby in the Mary Valley.
A Much Needed Facelift
The premises have also undergone a facelift. The original Poppa’s Café, cellar door and ice cream bar have all been given a new lease on life whilst retaining a genuine rustic, country ambience. The Cochrane’s enlisted the services of local marketing and design company Brand House Communications to help reinvent the brand. With the new name came a new logo and tagline “udderly delicious, udderly nutritious” along with a contemporary new website. Stunning photography of the cheese selection and dairy country was taken by local talent behind the camera, Leeroy Todd. Portrait photography was provided by Bambi.
